In this lesson, we'll take a look at the basics of two point perspective. Two Point Perspective is not overly different from One Point Perspective, however it does pose challenges that make measured layouts a little more challenging. In this lesson, we do a brief overview of what we learned in One Point Perspective, before first doing a series of Casual Exercises, before moving on to the more challenging Measured Exercises. At the end of the lesson there will be an assignment for you to complete. If you've wanted to expand your knowledge on perspective then this is the class for you! Let's get going!

Welcome to this first class on One-Point Perspective! This lesson is designed to break down the often challenging process of linear perspective in an easy to follow way. Throughout this lesson we're going to cover what Perspective Drawing is and how we can use it for our compositions, as well as how we go about making the experience work for our ideas and concepts, not the other way around.

Many artists are intimidated by the complexity of linear perspective. In this video series, instructor Sheldon Borenstein shows you a friendly and simple approach to perspective. In this first lesson of the series, Sheldon will cover the basics of one-point perspective, showing you how to find your vanishing points and horizon line, how to make grid of your drawing, and how to correctly scale. Sheldon will then apply these concepts to a demonstration drawing of a bridge using markers.

Artist and veteran instructor Erik Olson introduces the concepts and facts of various slopes and sloped objects with inclines and declines of various degrees. Finding the auxiliary vanishing points that these slopes lead to, as well as demonstrating estimated reference and measuring methods for slopes surfaces are covered, along with determining how to size and scale objects and figures on inclines and declines
